austinkleon: Gordon Lish’s edits of Raymond Carver’s story, “Beginners” (a.k.a. “What We Talk About When We Talk About Love”) It’s still kind of amazing to me how much Lish edited — if it weren’t for all the rewrites and the additions, you could almost consider it redacted lit.
